Cleanliness was seriously lacking throughout—especially in the bathrooms!!! The check-in process was completely unclear, leading to unnecessary stress upon arrival!!!

I enjoyed my stay at the Waverley. The location was fantastic, right near the beach, making it easy to take walks by the sea. The ground floor double room had a lovely sea view. It was clean, tidy, and had enough space for our travel cot. The bed was comfy, which was great after a long day of exploring. Breakfast was excellent, especially the full English with nice sausages. I noticed a few issues. The bathroom could use better maintenance. Some areas felt a bit neglected, like the dusty corners and stained furniture. the staff could have been more attentive. we had a minor issue with the shower that wasn’t addressed promptly.

Just a decent option for a weekend escape in Southend-on-Sea with exceptional value. I appreciated the breakfast "to go" when I had to leave early. Consider walking to the beach, it’s just across the road.

Had a lovely 2-night stay with my family. Cheryl and Steve felt like family, super friendly! The room was clean, and we enjoyed a hearty breakfast each morning. A little noisy at times outside, but nothing too crazy. Can't wait to come back!

A Mixed Bag Experience

My stay was marred by unexpected fees and confusion. the staff's efforts to accommodate us with breakfast offerings were commendable. I appreciated the quick service at the on-site café, making it a convenient pit stop for our family before exploring Southend-on-Sea. Just double-check fees.

Oh mate, the smoked meats were a proper delight! Add to that the nearby Gold Coast Chinese Restaurant just a hop away—who knew dim sum could taste like a piece of heaven? Plus, the ocean views at Roslin Beach Hotel Restaurant were sheer perfection.

Just keep your eyes peeled, and you’ll still be feasting on that glorious grub!
